Each year, we invest in maintaining and improving the upland habitat across our property. We blend native grasslands, creek bottoms, crop field edges, and natural draws to give birds the cover they need and hunters the variety they love.
This careful management ensures that each field you hunt holds birds—and that no two hunts feel the same.

Your Guides and Dogs
All upland hunts at Bow Creek are guided by experienced professionals who know the terrain and know how to find birds. You’ll be hunting alongside well-trained pointing dogs, whose job is to cover ground, locate birds, and lock in when the moment comes.
We tailor each hunt to your preferences—want a slower pace with close-working dogs? Looking to cover more ground with a hard-charging team? Just let us know.
If you prefer to hunt with your own dog, you’re absolutely welcome to bring them. Just let us know in advance so we can prepare the field appropriately.

Your upland hunt includes:

What to Bring
We recommend packing:
- A 12- or 20-gauge shotgun (over-under, pump, or semi-auto)
- Ammunition in No. 6 or No. 7.5 shot
- Blaze orange hat and vest (required)
- Comfortable boots with ankle support
- Layered clothing to adjust to weather changes
- Protective eyewear and hearing protection
- A Kansas hunting license
