Booking your first hunt at Bow Creek Ranch Outfitters is the start of something special. Whether you’re a seasoned hunter exploring new terrain or someone brand new to guided hunting, we’re here to make the experience easy, memorable, and rewarding.
Here’s what you can expect when you arrive at the ranch—and how we make sure every detail is taken care of so you can focus on enjoying the hunt.
A Warm, Personal Welcome
Bow Creek Ranch is a family-owned operation based in western Kansas. When you arrive, you’ll be greeted not just by guides, but by the people who live and work on the land every day. You’ll stay in a clean, comfortable lodge where everything—from your meals to your morning schedule—is handled with care.
We aim to host no more than one hunting group at a time, which means you’ll receive personal attention and a hunt tailored to your goals.
Your Day, Your Pace
We know that no two hunters are alike. Some guests want to hit the ground running at daybreak, while others prefer to move at a slower pace and soak in the Kansas landscape. We’ll ask about your preferences and adapt accordingly.
Here’s a typical daily structure:
- Breakfast at the lodge to get you ready for the day
- Morning hunt guided by a seasoned professional
- Midday break for lunch and some rest
- Afternoon hunt (if you’re staying multiple days)
- Hearty dinner and time to relax back at the lodge
Transportation on the property is provided, and you’ll be hunting land that’s been thoughtfully managed for the species you’re pursuing.
All Hunt Types Welcome
Whether you’ve booked an upland bird hunt, a fast-paced dove hunt, a predator calling session, or a unique yak hunt, we’ll make sure you’re comfortable with how things will go in the field. Our guides will walk you through safety, setup, gear, and field strategy before your hunt begins.
If you’re hunting upland birds, you’ll be accompanied by trained dogs—unless you’ve made arrangements to bring your own, which is always welcome with notice.
Meals and Lodging
Included in every guided hunt:
- A light breakfast, lunch, and hearty dinner
- Lodging at the on-site lodge, included in all per-person pricing
- Clean, comfortable accommodations with plenty of room for small groups
We also offer group and corporate packages—if you’re planning a hunt for family, friends, or coworkers, just let us know and we’ll help you customize the experience.
What to Bring
You’ll want to bring:
- A suitable firearm (shotgun for birds, rifle for predator/yak)
- Ammunition for your hunt
- Blaze orange (hat and vest) for upland bird hunting
- Sturdy, weather-appropriate clothing
- Durable footwear
Don’t hesitate to call us before your hunt if you’re unsure about what to pack. We’re always happy to walk you through it.
